Weeks 7 & 8: Editing Film Opening
Week 7:
The image above displays the production company name we decided to go with: WAMM Productions. As usually done in the beginning of a film, the production company name is listed. Thus, we chose to open with "WAMM PROD PRESENTS." Since it is an important title Miguel enlarged the font and spelled it out all in capital.

Miguel edited the video clips through Adobe Premier Pro. Whilst editing, one visual channel was used in the beginning. Three audio channels were also used. One's purpose was to mute the original audio so that the creepy background music could be heard much more clearly. The black screen visual transition was added in attempt to the video flow better by making it seem as if time had passed by rather than just jumping to the next scene.
One problem we had was deciding exactly what our script would be like so we struggled in that sense. Following the first cut we will definitely rethink our script, because even though we had the general idea of the storyline, our dialogue could be improved. Another issue was the lighting: at times it was a bit too dark to distinguish what was being displayed on screen so we may have to reshoot some of those scenes.
Week 8:

This photo is the last thing seen by viewers of our opener. We placed the title of our film at the end of the video so as not to reveal the true meaning of the film to the audience. By doing so they would have a sort of realization at the end where the title is the last piece of a puzzle that completes the image. We chose the font "Courier" because it is recognized as a mystery font from its continuous use in movies that try to solve a murder case or such.

An additional audio channel was incorporated in this editing session. It was added in order to perfect the overall audio by hiding unwanted sounds in the only non-diegetic sound (background eerie music) of the film that did not exactly add to the suspense of the film.
One of the biggest issues encountered during editing was the disparities in each video clip in consequence of using different cameras for filming. We started off with my camera and then used phone cameras to record the rest of our scenes. This made it difficult for Miguel to match picture sizes of the clips from my camera and those of phone cameras. Moving forward we will use only one type of camera to ensure editing is as simple and as stressless as possible. Another problem was the quality of each video, but that will also be resolved by the previous solution mentioned.
